Freedom is Waiting

ImageLet go.

Let go of how you thought your dating life would be at this point in your life.

Let go of who you thought would have been in your life by now.

Let go of the relationship that you thought would last a lifetime.

Let go of the closure you think you need from a certain someone.

The truth is your own constructed desires aren’t aligning with how your life is going, so you think your life is “not where it should be.” I am here to encourage you to stop believing that lie. The truth is, you are exactly where you need to be and with exactly who you need to be with (even if it is with no one). I have found myself constantly daydreaming about how I wish my life was right now and who I would want to be with, but I was only missing out on the beauty that is my current reality. God has amazing plans for my life, and this is exactly where I need to be (even if I can’t see it). Starting today, right now I am letting go of my own foolish desires and flawed ideas of how things should be. I am going to simply enjoy where I am and chase God with everything within me.

*Deep exhale* I can feel the freedom seeping in already.

My advice today: Let it go. Whatever it is, let it go, and let freedom in.

“We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.” -Joseph Campbell

“For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end-it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” -Habakkuk 2:3

I am always blessed by your posts. You are a trailblazer in what you do and it is clear that you are doing what God has called you to. I’m inspired by your obedience and encouraged by the creativity and wisdom God is STILL pouring out for you to do that which He has called you to do. I pray God would renew the passion for what you do and that He would return the excitement you had when you first started. He’s going to finish the work He started mama. May you receive the rainfall God gives you to pour out and water your path.
